1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lion mAIn Stories (the "Service") at www.lionmainstories.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and paying customers. By creating an account or purchasing credits, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

Lion mAIn Stories is operated by a sole trader with ABN 83 734 221 361. References to "we", "us", or "our" refer to the operator of Lion mAIn Stories.

2. Description of Service

Lion mAIn Stories is a web-based application that enables users to create personalised, visual social stories for children and individuals with neurodivergence, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Users upload photographs which are processed by Google AI, and any replacement or additional AI provider we may use in future, to generate illustrated story content.

The Service includes:

•       Account creation and management

•       Upload of photographs for AI-assisted story generation

•       Generation of personalised social story content and images

•       Optional saving and retrieval of completed stories

•       Purchase of story generation credits via Stripe

The Service is intended to support parents, caregivers, educators, and therapists in creating accessible, personalised resources for children and individuals with neurodivergence.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.

The Service is designed to be used by adults on behalf of children or individuals with neurodivergence. It is not intended to be accessed directly by children. You are solely responsible for ensuring appropriate use of stories created through the Service.

By registering, you also confirm that you have the legal authority to upload any photographs you submit to the Service, including any photographs that feature children or other individuals.

4. Account Registration

To access the full features of the Service, you must create an account by providing your name and email address and choosing a password. You agree to:

•       Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration

•       Maintain the security of your account credentials

•       Notify us promptly at hello@lionmainstories.com if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account

•       Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently or inappropriately.

5. Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at hello@lionmainstories.com. We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that unused credits are non-refundable upon account deletion.

You may delete individual saved stories at any time from within the Service.

6. Credits and Payment

6.1 Credit System

Story generation on the Service operates on a credit-based system. Each story generation consumes one (1) credit. Credits can be purchased in the following packages (all prices in Australian Dollars, AUD):

•       1 Credit — AUD $2.99

•       3 Credits — AUD $4.99

•       Eligible new users may receive one free story credit under the Explorer offer. This offer is intended for genuine new users only. We may refuse, limit, or remove free credits where we reasonably believe a person is creating multiple accounts or otherwise attempting to misuse the offer.

•       Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains active and the Service remains available.

Credit packages and pricing are subject to change. Any changes will be reflected on the Service prior to taking effect.

6.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card or payment details. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy, available at stripe.com.

Credits are added to your account upon successful payment confirmation. If credits are not received after payment, please contact us at hello@lionmainstories.com.

6.3 Refund Policy

Credit purchases are generally non-refundable for change of mind, unused credits, accidental purchases, or dissatisfaction with AI-generated creative output. If a technical issue prevents credits from being applied or used as intended, we may provide replacement credits. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

If you experience a technical issue, please contact us at hello@lionmainstories.com with a description of the problem. Where a technical error is confirmed, we may issue replacement credits.

Credits have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.

7. User Content and Photographs

7.1 Photograph Upload

When you upload photographs to the Service, those photographs are transmitted securely to Google AI, and any replacement or additional AI provider we may use in future, solely for the purpose of generating story content. Your original photographs are not stored by us after processing is complete.

By uploading photographs, you represent and warrant that:

•       You own the photographs or have the legal right and consent to use them

•       You have obtained any necessary consents from individuals depicted in the photographs, including consent to process their image using AI tools

•       The photographs do not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights

7.2 Saved Story Content

If you choose to save a story, the AI-generated story text and images (not your original photographs) are stored securely in your account. You retain ownership of the saved story content you create.

By saving content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for how you use, store, share, or distribute stories created through the Service.

8. AI-Generated Content

Story content and images generated through the Service are produced by Google AI, and any replacement or additional AI provider we may use in future. While we strive to provide useful and appropriate outputs, we make no guarantees about the accuracy, suitability, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content for any specific individual or purpose.

AI-generated content should be reviewed by a responsible adult before use with a child or individual with neurodivergence. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or educational advice.

We are not responsible for the outputs produced by AI systems, including any unexpected, inaccurate, or unsuitable content.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:

•       Upload photographs to which you do not have rights or consent to use

•       Use the Service to generate content that is offensive, harmful, discriminatory, or illegal

•       Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce the Service or its underlying technology

•       Use automated tools to access or scrape the Service

•       Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service

•       Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality

•       Create, upload, or use content that exploits, sexualises, harms, or endangers children

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these conditions. While we do not actively monitor every story or photograph, we may take action if misuse is detected, reported to us, or otherwise becomes known. This may include removing content, suspending accounts, refusing service, preserving relevant records, or reporting concerns to appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, and technology forming part of the Service — excluding your saved story content — is the property of Lion mAIn Stories or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including but not limited to:

•       Google Firebase — authentication and data storage

•       Stripe — payment processing

•       Google AI, and any replacement or additional AI provider we may use in future — story and image generation

•       Google Analytics — usage analytics

Your use of these integrations is also subject to the respective third-party terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

12. Service Availability and Shutdown

We aim to keep the Service available and functioning, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

If we discontinue the Service, we will make reasonable efforts to give users notice and allow a reasonable period to use remaining paid credits where practical.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of AI-generated content, including content that may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for credits in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation that cannot be excluded by agreement.

15. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, available at www.lionmainstories.com/privacy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by displaying a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of Victoria, Australia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
